Here's me with the wall of Pegs past, pointing to the two of me :)

Here’s me with the wall of Pegs past, pointing to the two of me 🙂

I started my very first day of Pegasus in the summer of my sophomore year, and here I am: a senior starting my third semester as a Peg. I have grown so much as a communicator, collaborator, and individual because of this agency. Now that I have been promoted to team leader, I will get a chance to take on new responsibilities that will help prepare me for the real world (which is, unfortunately, imminent).

I’ve been reflecting on how few “first day of

[fill in college life activity here]” I have left, but since life is easier as an optimist, I’m trying to instead think about how many I have gotten to enjoy. First day as a Petrel, first day as a politics/ communications major, first day as an honors student, first day as an RA, first day as a sophomore, junior, senior… first day as a Pegasus intern. All of these days have undeniably shaped the person I’ve become over the past four years.

There aren’t very many days left before I will be called a Peg for the last time; I am going to do my best to make sure every day between now and then counts. Here’s to a great semester filled with caffeine, rough, rougher, scrapped, and (finally) perfect final drafts, five rounds of video editing, and lots of smiles.
